Privacy policy

Bowlumo processes personal data to provide the service, manage the editorial database, receive reports, administer producer accounts and send communications requested by the user.

Data processed

  • Data sent through contact forms: name, email and message.
  • Newsletter subscriptions: email, subscription status, form source and selected interest categories.
  • First-party usage events: page, CTA, language, anonymous identifier, UTM and normalised external referrer, without storing IP or user-agent.
  • Producer accounts: email, name, linked company, verification status and technical access data.
  • Product submissions: company data, brand, ingredients, analytical values, official URLs, images, labels and uploaded technical files.
  • Technical and editorial logs: management actions, review statuses and main changes.

Purposes

  • Provide the comparison tool and product profiles.
  • Manage submissions, reviews, corrections and communications with producers and users.
  • Maintain security, editorial traceability and catalogue quality.
  • Send monthly newsletter communications only to subscribed addresses, with updates for the selected categories.

Retention

  • Editorial data and technical logs are retained as long as needed for catalogue traceability.
  • Newsletter subscriptions remain active until the user unsubscribes through the dedicated page or contacts Bowlumo.
  • Files uploaded by producers remain on the Bowlumo server and are linked to profiles only after review.
  • Quiz answers are progressively saved in the user's browser, not in the database, unless explicit future developments are introduced.

Services and hosting

  • In the self-hosted deployment, app, database and uploads live in the same server environment controlled by Bowlumo.
  • Producer account confirmation emails are sent through a technical email service.
  • Support tools may help analyse and normalise data; publication remains subject to editorial control.

Rights and contacts

  • Users may request access, correction or deletion of data where compatible with technical obligations, security and editorial traceability.
  • Companies may correct inaccurate or incomplete data and request replacement or removal of materials linked to a profile, but every public change goes through a new review.
  • For privacy requests or corrections, use the Contacts page. For the newsletter, you can also use the unsubscribe page.
